CBC Real Estate earned international acclaim with its bold redevelopment of the American Tobacco Campus (ATC), taking the historic site from an abandoned factory to a thriving, one million sq ft mixed-use destination – complete with a performing arts center, restaurants, residences, and a baseball stadium. 

For 12 years, it’s been GBW’s job not only to tell this remarkable story (which has drawn journalists from around the world), but to hold the community’s interest by keeping ATC fresh and exciting.  

An equally transformative CBC project is Rocky Mount Mills, which includes 300,000 sq ft of office/multi-use space (including the historic mill), 10-20 acres for selected manufacturing, a ‘tiny home’ hotel, and restored homes/loft apartments, plus restaurants, breweries and more. GBW helped bring the local community on board and attracted needed visitors from around the region.  

In 2021, we announced that CBC will develop the corporate headquarters of Bandwidth Inc. The campus will consist of office buildings encompassing 450,000 sq ft and will include a cafe, a Montessori school, a fitness facility, an amphitheater, and an athletic field.
